On February 12, 2019, I had my first attorney's fees hearing in a foreclosure case since the Third District Court of Appeal's ruling in the Glass case was reversed by the Florida Supreme Court.
I am happy to report that it was a great day in Court and a great day for my homeowner client!
After we won a dismissal of the foreclosure, the Court granted our Motion for Attorney's Fees and ruled that my homeowner client is entitled to recover her reasonable attorney's fees and costs. Click HERE to read the Order Granting Attorney's Fees.
After all, this is the fair and equitable result. If you win your foreclosure case, you should be able to recover your attorney's fees! The big banks want to hail you into court and then get out of reimbursing you for your attorney's fees even though you won the case! That's just wrong, plain and simple!
Perhaps this will convince banks to reconsider before bringing lawsuits based on faulty paperwork!
